5 Tips to Improve Your Facebook Page

No.1 – Insure your Facebook page is a business page and not a friend account. It is much easier for customers to be able to like the page straight away rather than waiting on the business to accept the request that has been sent. There is no limit on the number of fans a Facebook page however there is a cap on the amount of friends you can have on a profile page.

No.2 – Ensure that your profile picture has the brand name visible in it. You will want customers to recognize this straight away, it is very important for being found and liked. It is going to be the first impression people get of your business page. Combining your profile picture with your cover photo can create a cool design but you must insure that the profile picture can stand on its own as that is what it will be doing for the majority time.

James Street has the brand name visible in the cover photo but it is not a great example as the profile picture and cover photo are not combined.

No.3 – Make sure to fill in an about section. It is one of the first things people will look for so make sure to keep it up to date and include key information. By doing this people can understand what your page is about before they even like you. It is  also a good idea to include a link to your website in this section.


The Clarion Hotel has utilised their about section anyone on their page can find out their contact number, where the location is etc.

No.4 – Avoid lengthly posts. A long rambling posts will never get the likes, shares and comments you’re looking for. You have to keep posts short and sweet if you want costumers to read them. Generally posts should be kept between 100-125 characters.


No.5 – Focus on engaging with the customers. Ask your audience to share their thoughts and feedback on your products and services. This will help to improve your business. also if you post content that shows you took their feedback into consideration it will show that you value the audiences idea and can help build customer loyalty .

As you can see from above Coca Cola interacts with their followers by asking them questions in their posts
